It’s hard to believe, however September has arrived! I hope each of you have enjoyed a summer full of connections, rest, and a good deal of fun. It has been a total joy connecting with many of our families over the summer and I look forward to meeting and working alongside our incredible school community this year and beyond.
This week saw the first time our hardworking staff returned in their full capacity to engage in professional development and collective planning geared toward providing the best and most responsive educational experience possible for each of the students we serve. It was genuinely humbling to witness the passion and dedication of this staff and the resolute commitment to keep our students at the center. Whether your students attend NFP, NN or NOA, please know that your child is seen and cared for by this team of educators.
A quick note, before we get going: Each month, families enrolled in Northshore Online Academy, Northshore Networks, and Northshore Family Partnership will receive a joint Bear Creek Campus newsletter. The intention of the joint newsletter is to highlight important dates and milestones relevant to our greater community, provide opportunities for engagement for each student and family, along with highlighting updates and successes from our respective programs. I believe there is tremendous value in sharing what is happening in each of our programs with the school community at large, as it allows our community to gain an informed perspective of who we are, the services we provide, and how we operate as a unified learning community. An important goal this year is to develop a coherent message and aligned understanding of the work we do to support our students and families, and broadening the scope of how we communicate is an important part of that effort. It is also important to note that, following this initial message, newsletters will be sent via our district communication tool, ParentSquare. As our internal systems are still under operation, I wanted to prioritize a message to our families prior to that system synching. In the interim, please excuse the length and clumsy formatting of this letter.
